Beware of falsified results documents!

Recent news reports suggest that falsified results documents for the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) are available on the market.
Examinees in Japan receive a Certificate of Japanese-Language Proficiency / Score Report and a JLPT Certificate of Result and Scores issued by the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services. Examinees outside Japan receive a Certificate of Japanese-Language Proficiency and a JLPT Certificate of Result and Scores issued by The Japan Foundation.
The test organizers are prepared to confirm whether results documents are authentic, or whether a holder of results documents has taken and passed the level indicated. Should these services be required, please contact the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services about examinees in Japan, and The Japan Foundation about examinees outside Japan.
